Easter Sunday Sermon 2012 – Hope

For your interest you can listen to my Easter Sunday Sermon on the St David’s Cathedral website here.

My sermon notes are available: Easter Sunday 2012 Sermon Cathedral – Hope.

A number of people asked me for the link to an article about the historical facts surrounding and telling of the resurrection. They are a must read.

See for example some new evidence concerning an Edict of Caesar:

Easter Sunday Sermon 2012 – Hope — 2 Comments

  1. Thanks for sharing this John,
We especially appreciated the simplicity of your comment that ‘not that we hope this is true, but that we have a true hope ‘(assurance not from ourselves).
    Great!
But as we sat in Arnhem land listening in shorts and t-shirts, we couldn’t help but wonder how cold it was in that echoey place you were preaching in!

  2. Hi Kate,
    Thanks for your encouragement.
In Hobart we were blessed with a warm sunny day as we celebrated Easter Sunday. As you rightly guessed it was not so ‘warm’ in the Cathedral! ‘Warm’ for us being 22 degrees 🙂
Greetings from one end of this land of Oz to the other. Stay close to Jesus and that fella’ of yours. In Christ, John
