Today we have bushfires in a number of places in Tasmania. Please join with me in prayer.
I include this Prayer in time of Bushfire (slightly edited) from the Anglican Church of Australia’s A Prayer Book for Australia.
All things look to you, O Lord,
to give them their food in due season:
look in mercy on your people,
and hear our prayer for those whose lives and possessions are threatened by fire.
Give protection and wisdom to fire fighters and other emergency service personnel.
Encourage our generosity to those who suffer loss.
In your mercy restore your creation and heal our land.
So guide and bless your people,
that we may enjoy the fruits of the earth
and give you thanks with grateful hearts,
through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Assuring you of prayerful support as you deal with a reality we know all too well. Warmest good wishes to you and your people.
Many thanks, John. Value your empathy and prayerful support. Shalom.
Praying for you all, especially those who have lost homes and those brave men and women risking their lives to keep life and property safe.
In all of our gatherings today we prayed for all those in Tasmania who have already been affected by the fires and we also prayed that the Lord in his mercy may bring the damage these fires are doing to an end. And may the Lord strengthen you John, and all who shepherd the flocks in areas that are affected, to bring the gospel of comfort and hope.
