\nSaying thanks<\/h3>\n
A man whose life was saved by a Tasmanian police officer has thanked him \u2013 22 years after the event.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we first met it was not on the best of terms \u2013 I was sitting on the top of the bridge and was going to jump,\u201d said Stephen Bakes. \u201cDavid put his handcuffs around me and I let fly with a lot of words. But since then, my life has changed and I have him to thank for that\u201d.<\/p>\n
Stephen was reunited with Senior Sergeant David Bray in Hobart recently after he was tracked down by Anglicare at Stephen\u2019s request.<\/p>\n
\u201cI always said that if I got the chance I\u2019d want to shake his hand and say thank you,\u201d said Stephen. \u201cToday I\u2019ve been given that chance\u201d.<\/p>\n
