The accompanying letter to my Brothers and Sisters in Christ says,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Pentecost, people and prayer: what a powerful combination!\u00a0Pentecost Sunday 2010 launches us into prayer;\u00a0\u00a0a time of intentional,\u00a0focussed prayer.<\/p>\n<p>A vital part of my role as Bishop of Tasmania is\u00a0to gather God\u2019s people to pray.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Beginning on Pentecost Sunday I will be\u00a0visiting our parishes, schools and agencies to pray. My Prayer Pilgrimage around Tasmania is to devote time to pray. Prayer is the living breath of the life\u00a0giving Spirit.\u00a0 Just as the Spirit brings us to Christ and joins us to Christ\u2019s family, the Spirit inspires and takes our prayers to God.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On this Day of Pentecost, I invite you to respond to the presence of Christ. Take heart; put into action our aspirations as Christ\u2019s people.\u00a0 Where will you,\u00a0your congregation, your Parish, your area of ministry, follow the Spirit of Jesus?
