This year I will be doing a Prayer Pilgrimage around the Diocese. The theme is “People @ Prayer”.<\/strong> The launch will be at Synod, end May. The actual Pilgrimage around Tasmania will be for the months of June and July. The calendar of visits is well advanced and as we were working through the places and people with whom I have the opportunity to pray, I become deeply moved at this\u00a0privilege. PTL!<\/p>\n

We have been working on\u00a0the Pilgrimage’s Aims and Prayer<\/strong>: see the current working draft below.\u00a0Please pray for us as we seek to bring the materials together.<\/p>\n

A. AIMS<\/strong><\/p>\n

    To pray<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n
    To encourage people to pray<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n
    To teach people about prayer<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n
    To unify God\u2019s people through prayer<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    <\/strong>\u00a0These aims will \u2013 <\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Deepen our relationship with God both as individuals and as the people of God, the Church, and deepen within us the expectation that God will work in the world.<\/li>\n
    2. Encourage people to pray\u00a0by the Bishop being at prayer with the Anglican Parishes, Schools & Agencies. In my vision,\u00a0\u2018a healthy church \u2026 transforming life\u2019, I state that my heart\u2019s desire is for every Anglican to be a prayerful activist, enlivened by biblical faith and the power of the Holy Spirit; and for us all to take initiatives in mission that God may transform the life of our Christian communities and all Tasmanians.\u00a0<\/li>\n
    3. Teach about prayer by teaching on the theme \u2018people@prayer\u2019.<\/li>\n
    4. Unify God’s people through praying together and praying for the Anglican family of Tasmania and all Tasmanians.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \u00a0B. THE PILGRIMAGE PRAYER\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

      Heavenly Father, your word teaches us that we do not have because we do not ask<\/strong><\/address>\n
      By your Spirit make us as keen to pray as you are to listen<\/strong><\/address>\n
      as determined to listen as you are to speak<\/strong><\/address>\n
      that we may be equipped for mission and united as your people;<\/strong><\/address>\n
      healthy churches transforming our lives and those of all Tasmanians<\/strong><\/address>\n
      through Jesus Christ our Lord<\/strong><\/address>\n
      who taught us to pray,<\/strong><\/address>\n
      <\/strong>\u00a0<\/address>\n
      Our Father in heaven,<\/strong><\/address>\n
      hallowed be your name, your kingdom come,<\/strong><\/address>\n
      your will be done, on earth as in heaven.<\/strong><\/address>\n
      Give us today our daily bread.<\/strong><\/address>\n
      Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.<\/strong><\/address>\n
      Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.<\/strong><\/address>\n
      For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,<\/strong><\/address>\n
