25 February I attended the Annual Meeting for the\u00a02009 year of World Vison Australia. Although it is over used, it has been\u00a0a truly ‘challenging year’. The full Annual Report\u00a0and also by sections for convenience can be downloaded from here<\/a>. The website gives an excellent\u00a0insight into the diverse ways in which World Vision brings practical love to people in need.\u00a0See World Vision Home page<\/a>. \u00a0<\/p>\n

I liked the clear statement in the section ‘Who we are’<\/a>,<\/p>\n

Our vision for every child, life in all its fullness;<\/p>\n

Our prayer for every heart, the will to make it so.<\/p>\n

We are a Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation that seeks to transform<\/span><\/p>\n

the lives of children and communities by tackling the causes of poverty.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0We seek to follow, and are motivated by, Jesus Christ\u2019s identification with the poor, the<\/span><\/p>\n
