Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n<p>For Pentecost Sunday, 31 May, I have written a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anglicantas.org.au\/index.php?item=file&amp;target=pentecost\"><em>Pentecost Pastoral Letter to the Anglican Church in Tasmania<\/em><\/a><\/span><em>. <\/em>The Letter is entitled, <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The Spirit of Christ transforming LIFE &#8211; Pentecost 2009<\/span>. It will be distributed at Synod in Launceston this weekend and available on Pentecost Sunday in all our parishes.<\/p>\n<p>There is also a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sCuzKgK0LLU\">YouTube version<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>My Pentecost Pastoral Letter concludes with a special prayer for us,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong>PENTECOST PRAYER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">God of Comfort and Life,<br \/>\nyou sent your Holy Spirit<br \/>\nin wind and fire at Pentecost,<br \/>\nempowering the disciples<br \/>\nto proclaim with boldness<br \/>\nyour love in Christ,<br \/>\ngiving birth to your church.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">May the fire of the Spirit<br \/>\npurify our hearts and minds<br \/>\nto show forth the fruit of your Spirit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">May the fire of the Spirit<br \/>\nignite our lives<br \/>\nwith zeal for your kingdom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">May the fire of the Spirit<br \/>\nprovoke in us a passion<br \/>\nto pray and proclaim your love in Christ.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">May the fire of the Spirit<br \/>\nset our hearts on fire<br \/>\nwith love and adoration for you, our God.
