See my <a href=\"http:\/\/imaginarydiocese.org\/bishopjohn\/2009\/04\/22\/religious-policy-multi-faith-dialogue-and-australian-values\/\">Religious Policy, Multi-faith Dialogue and Australian Values<\/a>\u00a0and it is one of the reasons I am attending the Parliament of the World&#8217;s Religions in Melbourne 3-9 December 2009.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The issue is being addressed\u00a0by Compass presenter Geraldine Doogue with panellists who are\u00a0attending the Parliament of the World&#8217;s Religions.\u00a0 The topic will be\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">&#8220;Creating Social Cohesion in Village and City&#8221;<\/span> and includes,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How can we live together in a pluralistic society?<\/li>\n<li>How should we deal with refugees?<\/li>\n<li>And, how do we maintain social cohesion amid large movements of people with different belief systems?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0The panellists are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Michael Melchior, Chief Rabbi of Norway, founder: Citizen&#8217;s Accord Forum between Jews and Arabs in Israel<\/li>\n<li>Dr Suhair Hassan Al-Qurashi, Dean of Dar Al-Hekma College for women in Jeddah<\/li>\n<li>Rev Tim Costello, CEO World Vision Australia<\/li>\n<li>Katherine Marshall, Executive Director World Faiths Development Dialogue and Advisor to the World Bank<\/li>\n<li>Anthony Padovano, Catholic Theologian and Professor of Literature and Philosophy, USA<\/li>\n<li>Melissa Brickell, Australian Aboriginal Partnerships, MacKillop Family Services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0Questions can be submitted\u00a0via the ABC Compass <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/compass\/contact.htm\"><strong>contact page<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; more info at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/compass\/s2738842.htm\"><strong>Compass: Parliament of the World&#8217;s Religions<\/strong><\/a>.
