Please join with me in prayer.<\/p>\n<p>I include this\u00a0<em>Prayer in time of Bushfire<\/em> (slightly edited) from the Anglican Church of Australia&#8217;s <em>A Prayer Book for Australia<\/em>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>All things look to you, O Lord,<\/p>\n<p>to give them their food in due season:<\/p>\n<p>look in mercy on your people,<\/p>\n<p>and hear our prayer for those whose lives and possessions are threatened by fire.<\/p>\n<p>Give protection and wisdom to fire fighters and other emergency service personnel.<\/p>\n<p>Encourage our generosity to those who suffer loss.<\/p>\n<p>In your mercy restore your creation and heal our land.<\/p>\n<p>So guide and bless your people,<\/p>\n<p>that we may enjoy the fruits of the earth<\/p>\n<p>and give you thanks with grateful hearts,<\/p>\n<p>through our Lord Jesus Christ.
