My theme was Prayer for the Diocese and missions. The outline of resources for the hour follows. We\u00a0managed to get a third of the way through.\u00a0That happens when you try to fit three hours of prayer material into one hour!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>THREE\u00a0SESSIONS of 20 minutes each<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Each Session to include ,\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bible readings (Nehemiah to be read and bishop&#8217;s\u00a0reflection; the other readings for personal reflection)<\/li>\n<li>Music ministry<\/li>\n<li>Prayer focus is\u00a0via\u00a0Diocesan Prayer Diary; days 1-10; 11-20; 21-31\u00a0[these include mission agencies]<\/li>\n<li>Prayer: shared and silence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">SESSION ONE <\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">&#8211; PASSION FOR GOD\u2019S WORLD<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When I heard these words I sat down and wept, and mourned for days, fasting and praying before the God of heaven.\u00a0&#8230;<sup> <\/sup>O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servant, and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name.&#8221;\u00a0 Nehemiah 1:4,10<\/p>\n<address>Music: &#8216;Lift up our heads&#8217;, \u00a0&#8216;Open my eyes that I may see&#8217;<\/address>\n<address>Nehemiah 1 with a\u00a0reflection<\/address>\n<address>Psalm 1\u00a0 and\u00a0 John 15:12-17\u00a0<\/address>\n<address>Our prayer (Diocesan Prayer Diary with Bishop&#8217;s updates)\u00a0and the Pentecost Prayer (see following)<\/address>\n<address>Music: &#8216;O Lord, you are beautiful&#8217;<\/address>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">SESSION TWO <strong>&#8211; PREPARATION for MINISTRY<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I told them that the hand of my God had been gracious upon me, and also the words that the king had spoken to me. Then they said, &#8220;Let us start building!&#8221; So they committed themselves to the common good.&#8221;\u00a0 Nehemiah 2:18<\/p>\n<address>Nehemiah 2:1-10 (11-20) with a reflection<\/address>\n<address>Psalm 13\u00a0 and\u00a0 John 16:1-16<\/address>\n<address>Our prayer (Diocesan Prayer Diary with Bishop&#8217;s updates)\u00a0and the Pentecost Prayer (see following)<\/address>\n<address>Music: &#8216;Jesus be the centre&#8217;<\/address>\n<p>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff\">SESSION\u00a0THREE<strong> <\/strong><strong>&#8211; CELEBRATION OF GOD\u2019S GOODNESS<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You are the LORD, you alone; you have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them.
