You mentioned From the Bishop’s Desk 20.01.10 “I am to give the inaugural address of the Institute for New Anglicanism at the (Nelson) Cathedral Church on February 12. The topic, What on earth is God doing?”. You may be interested that Ray Stedman (author of the classic Body Life about the purpose of the church) published a book in 2003 titled What on Earth is Happening? Its sub-title is What Jesus Said about the End of the Age and the book focuses on the Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24 and 25.Perhaps the main points about what God is doing: it appears to involve changes to both the church and the world; we have the general but not the detailed picture; only God knows the time line; however he wants us to prepare ourselves for whatever he is doing (that includes keeping ‘watch’ and evangelizing). Hal Lindsey said it better in the 70’s. The Late Great Planet Earth. Sold 30 million books that Jesus would return by 1987- 40 years, one generation after Israel became a state. Today Hal is living in luxury with wife #4 in Palm Springs CA and the church has yet to talk much about this former darling. But That’s what ALL the top end timers believed. They were all WRONG. LOL.

A sucker is born every minute. If Jesus ever does return, he’s gonna punish all those fake prophets who kept speaking nonsense about him. That I am sure of.

Actually, the interview with Weinland was recorded TWO years ago, in January of 2008. The disasters he was was so sure would materialize starting in April of 2008 didn’t materialize. So by June of 2008 he changed to a new timeline with Christ returning in just over 2 years, in May of 2012.
